Outward Church was fast-approaching a decade since its beginnings as a church plant. After several years of attendance stagnation and brand misalignment it was clear a new approach was needed.
During our time with Outward's team we helped refine, clarify and communicate the mission & vision. We developed a modern brand strategy, and suggested physical interior changes to better engage the community in the worship experience.
We helped define an onboarding strategy that moved people from newcomers to advocates. We designed a digital marketing strategy that included a responsive website and social media ads to communicate the vision in a way people could understand.
The result has been unprecedented growth and renewed excitement. Outward's average quarterly attendance grew by nearly 70% in just under 18 months. By being willing to take risks and ask bigger questions, Outward has repositioned itself to influence and impact the community for years to come.
SPOTLIGHT
Our brand workshop brought leadership together to help create vision clarity, and develop a modern identity that realigns Outward's vision with the primarily millennial and young family demographic.
SPOTLIGHT
With a modern identity in place, the website strategy was to present simple, clear content and paths toward connection through a modern, clean, mobile-first interface. With features including a series media library, notification system, and blog we knew more than 50% of users would access content through a mobile device. Our mobile-first development approach ensures a meaningful experience on any screen.
SPOTLIGHT
One of the marketing strategies we developed was a welcome video that would show leadership, community, and experience. These are big questions visitors have, and video is an effective way to answer those questions quickly.
We developed the script and overall direction. We ran Facebook ads for a specific demographic near the church. The video was seen by thousands, and there's a noticeable, steady increase in attendance shortly after the video began to appear.
